About the authors
Jack M. Mintz is the President’s Fellow of the School of Public Policy at the University of Calgary, and he received the Order of Canada in 2015 and the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 for service to the Canadian tax policy community.
Tom Flanagan is Distinguished Fellow in the School of Public Policy at the University of Calgary. Former director of research for the Reform Party, and former campaign manager for Stephen Harper's Conservative Party, he is the author of Harper's Team: Behind the Scenes in the Conservative Rise to Power.
Ted Morton is professor emeritus at the University of Calgary where he taught for over thirty years. He also served as the MLA for Foothills-Rocky View in the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, and in cabinet as Minister of Sustainable Resources, Minister of Finance, and Minister of Energy. Currently an Executive Fellow at the University of Calgary School of Public Policy, Ted Morton is the author of seven books and has been recognized for his contributions to academia, public policy, and for his lifetime of achievement.
